Microsoft Will Change Back Surface Pro Power Cable Caused Overheating and Damage
Microsoft now planning to call back a number of the power cable for the Surface Pro due to problems overheating and can cause other damage. Microsoft is expected to make an announcement related to it soon.
Microsoft would announce a voluntary recall of its AC power supplies for Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2, the Surface Pro 3 which was sold before July last year.
The voluntary recall is not expected to target the Surface Pro 4, which Microsoft launched in the fall of 2015, or its non-Pro Surface models.

It said this power cable can cause an overheating if there is any damage to the power cable.
