Microsoft Develop a New Generation Video Call - Room2Room
Microsoft has already introduced a number of new functions via Skype, and now there are moving forward, Microsoft Research showed their study that allows users to make video calls with caller flashed in front of you.
Microsoft calls this project as Room2Room. Through it, the Kinect camera used to record the image in three dimensions, and then it transmitted to other users in the form of comprehensive size.
It also allows you to communicate with other partners like they are in front of you.

For the record, Microsoft Research uses some technology from RoomAlive before. In RoomAlive, Microsoft has shown the ability to play a game using Kinect and digital projectors to experience the room thoroughly.
